First it was a cold, then it was the stomach bug, and now it’s another cold. Old Man Winter can now move on and take its germs with it. I have been battling this cold for the past few days, and I feel like I’m finally on the mend. While it was a slightly more subdued weekend for this gal, I did manage to finish priming and painting the trim and new door in the boys’ bathroom. Where there used to be less than attractive louvered doors, there is now a solid period door. We had our carpenter de-lead the door, sand it, and then frame it. I took over for the painting part. 🙂
I LOVE the way it looks, and I’m so happy we spent the extra money to use the door that we found in the basement, since it fits perfectly with the rest of the house. The boys bathroom is now officially done-check! Next up, full speed ahead finishing the guest room/nursery. I almost forgot to mention the super cool swing set we scored for the boys! Thanks to a tip from a friend, we found a Sheds USA Adventurer Swing set for $500 (regularly $1600). We bought the display model and it is now in our backyard. We had been looking for one for quite a while for the boys, and I can’t believe we scored such a deal. I am confident that it will soon be getting a TON of use. 🙂
I am gearing up for a busy week. Tomorrow is my yearly skin check with the dermatologist–make sure you all get one–it could save your life! Tuesday I have a midwife appointment and then Friday we are headed down cape for a little weekend getaway/birthday weekend (my 37th!!) at the Cove in Yarmouth. We are bringing the boys, and they are so excited for the indoor pool!
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
