I feel like summer is going by WAY too fast this year! I probably say that every year, but for some reason, it really seems that way this summer. It’s probably not helped by the fact that stores are already hawking back to school gear!
My husband and I talked earlier this year about activities we definitely wanted to do this summer. They include a myriad of activities in Rhode Island. We are trying to check things off the list, though it seems like the weekends are rapidly disappearing!
In August, I will be headed to BlogHer 2012 sans family. This will be my first trip to the largest women’s blogging conference, and I can’t wait! It will be great to meet a lot of other bloggers and brands and there are a number of parties I am really looking forward to attending. I will also get to see my BFF on Thursday night before the conference. I haven’t seen her in WAY TOO LONG!
I would also like to take a trip up North again. We are planning on going to Vermont some time in September for a weekend, but I would really like to take the kids to Story Land in New Hampshire too. I think I went there once when I was little, though I can’t remember much. It looks like a super fun place for the boys, so we are going to go check it out. If you are planning on going to Story Land some time this summer, you can save up to $21 on tickets. Click HERE for details.
Do you have any vacations or staycations planned for the rest of the summer?
30 Something Mother will receive several complimentary tickets to Story Land in exchange for mentioning the above promotion.
We’re going to NH in August to climb Mt. Washington! Then we’re planning on doing lots of other stuff around RI for the rest of the summer!
My sister and I were just saying how fast summer was cruising by! I’m on my month vaca in RI! We went up to Watch Hill yesterday to use the merry-go-round but boy the horses were not there for repairs!! Ooops! I hadn’t been there since I was little….somehow remember it being bigger!
We’re doing a lot of local things this summer. Especially the Free Fridays in MA. In September we’ll head to VA for a week with my in-laws. That will be fun and exciting. 🙂
We already went whale watching, and will be in Newport multiple weekends as usual. I went to OH for a week to visit my family & friends. The one trip I’m looking forward to most is a weekend in Cape Elizabeth, ME!
Yay for blogging conferences! BlogHer will be amazing, I’m sure. I’m heading to Fitbloggin in September- can’t wait!
