What a weekend–I can’t believe how quickly it went by. Early Saturday morning, I woke up to run the ZOOMA Cape Cod half marathon with some amazing ladies, including my fellow ZOOMA Cape Cod ambassadors. It was a beautiful fall morning here in Falmouth, and I will be sharing my full race recap tomorrow on the blog. All I can say now is that it was a TON of fun!

After the race, we ran home and got changed before driving to Lakeville, CT to the Interlaken Resort for a good friend’s wedding. We may have set a land speed record from the Cape to Lakeville. I was a little nervous about running the race and then sitting in the car for almost 4 hours, but I actually felt okay. The trip to Salisbury was absolutely gorgeous! It’s hard to believe that the fall foliage has already started. We pulled into the resort on two wheels, got ready in about 5 minutes, and then headed to the lake for the wedding ceremony.
While my two older boys stayed with my in-laws, we brought William with us. He was quite a party goer, and he worked the ladies at the reception! I’m going to have to watch out for that kid! 😉 He made it through cocktail hour and most of the reception, before the two of us packed it in around 9:30 p.m. I fell asleep about 5 minutes after returning to the room.

The next morning, my quads made getting up from a seating position very unpleasant–a sign of how hilly the second half of the race was! DOMS DOMS DOMS DOMS. Thank goodness for the stick and my new Omron Pain Relief Pro. 🙂 We enjoyed a nice brunch before heading back home. Along the way, we stopped to switch cell phone carriers, and I picked up the new iPhone 6–lovin’ it so far!
I can’t wait to share my ZOOMA Cape Cod race recap tomorrow, stay tuned!
