Yesterday morning we headed to the last day of the Fairy Houses of Beebe Woods installation at the Historic Highfield Hall. I wasn’t really sure what to expect when my MIL first mentioned reading about the exhibit in the local paper. I have to say we had a lot of fun! Each house was designed and crafted by a local artist, naturalist, or other fairy enthusiast.
When we arrived, we picked up a map that designated the path along which all of the fairy houses were located. The boys were so excited as they tore off along the path in search of each new home. Rather than fail try to really capture the artistry of each home, I am going to allow them to speak for themselves!
This weekend was also spent at the beach and outdoors, weather permitting of course! My husband took Friday as a vacation day, so we spent the majority of the day at the beach and then headed down to Woods Hole for dinner. We ate at the Landfall (where my husband and I met and had our rehearsal dinner!). It was a beautiful night for dinner on the water and time spent with family.
Saturday was still hot and my youngest finally got the GI bug that has plagued our family for the past few weeks. 🙁 I think I may be getting it, hence the lack of running this weekend. I am hoping to kick it early and be back on the road this morning!
my daughter would LOVE these, too!
Oh Em would have loved these!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that the GI bug stays away from this house!!!
