Urbini Avi Jogger Review

GEAR

Overview

There is another new entry into the jogging stroller market– the Urbini Avi Jogger. This new jogging stroller is sold exclusively at Walmart, and it’s a great alternative to some of the pricier jogging stroller models. The Urbini Avi is just $199.00! There are a lot of things I like about this jogging stroller, most importantly that you can quickly fold it with just one hand– HUGE selling point in my book! It also stays upright and in place when folded (something I have had an issue with on other strollers).

Suspension

Similar to other jogging strollers, the Urbini Avi Jogger has good suspension and swivel lock front wheel. The suspension worked well on the bumps on the bike path and road, but for trails, I would stick with my BOB Revolution PRO. The stroller also has a two position canopy to keep baby shaded; there is a peek a boo window so you can keep an eye on baby when running.

Accessories and Adjustable Handle

The Urbini Avi Jogger comes with an adult cup holder that you can clip on the side, though I am still partial to my Skip Hop parent organizer that I velcro onto my other jogging strollers. Another attractive feature of this jogging stroller is the adjustable handle– I can’t stand when you can’t adjust the handle! 😉 The wheels are easily removed for travel, and the stroller was VERY easy to put together!

My Overall Impression

Overall, I think this jogging stroller is a great addition to the market. If you are starting a running program and plan on staying on the roads and path, I think this is a perfect choice. Once again, I also love the great price point–there’s no excuse for mom not to start a walking/jogging/running routine now! 🙂

You mention this would work for people starting a running program. Would you not recommend it for those that run longer distances on roads and bike paths? First time mom here and half marathoner, though post baby and pushing 50lbs of baby + stroller I’ll pretty much be starting over. While I love trail running, I think I’ll be sticking to hiking with baby in a carrier or trail running while baby stays with hubby as there’s no way I’ll be pushing a stroller up a mountain. With that in mind, I’m thinking the most important features will be overall weight, compatibility with an infant car seat, and reasonable cost. It seems most jogging strollers have the swivel/local front wheel, canopy, cupholder, basket underneath so I’m having a hard time differentiating joggers aside from by price and which car seat they are compatible with. Any tips on how to further narrow it down? I’ve gone to 3 different Walmarts and unfortunately can’t find the avi in person to try out before purchasing.

After reading your comment Amanda, I would check out this one – http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XP96VQ/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000XP96VQ&linkCode=as2&tag=30somemothrun-20&linkId=DWRLXZW5TC7ETLZG. It’s a great stroller that’s at a lower point than the BOB, but has a great suspension, smooth ride, and extras like a parent organizer, reflectors on wheels, etc. I did a review on it as well here. https://www.thisrealmom.com/joovy-zoom-360-review/
