I sort of feel like my running is starting from scratch, in a good way! I have only been running about 3 miles at a time (and feeling great!). I haven’t lost much speed, but I am focusing less on performance and more on retaining the joy of running!
Pretty soon I am going to have to decide on a half marathon plan for ZOOMA Cape Cod. I have been doing some research but have yet to settle on a specific plan. If anyone has suggestions, I would love them! I will probably end up choosing a framework and tweaking it as I see fit.
I ran earlier in the morning yesterday, and I really enjoyed the peace and quiet of early morning running. It was beautiful and sunny near the beach, but I couldn’t quite catch a glimpse of the ospreys! It was nice to see the sun after the torrential downpours we had yesterday! There was still water on the roads!
In addition to talking running, let’s talk quick meals! Since we have been doing a lot of home improvement and traveling between homes in the past few months, we have been ordering more take out (due to sheer necessity!).
Papa Gino’s reached out to me to try one of their family meals, and we graciously accepted! We have been ordering a lot of pizza from them lately, so it was nice to change it up with a pasta meal.
With each of the family pasta meals, you get salad (garden or Caesar), breadsticks) and your choice of pasta dish. They even have macaroni and cheese!
We chose the chicken parmesan with ziti and it was delish! I was pleasantly surprised with how much food we got, as it said that it feeds 4-6 ($29.99). We fed 4 adults and 2 kids and still had enough for left overs. It was packaged in a tin pan, so it was easy to throw it in the oven to reheat.
If you are interested in trying out a family pasta meal, Papa Gino’s provided a $5 coupon for me to share with you!
30 Something Mother Runner was provided with a coupon for a free Pasta Family Meal from Papa Gino’s. All opinions are 100% my own! Yum!
