Yesterday, I was super excited to find out that I got selected to be an Altra Ambassador for 2013! Most of you guys have heard about my love for Altra shoes on different occasions, but if not, feel free to catch up HERE and HERE. I can’t wait to help spread the Altra love!
I love my Altras because they are super comfy (nice wide toe box) and help me keep my natural foot strike. For anyone who has suffered common running injuries, they are definitely worth looking into. The company is growing and is constantly adding new shoes to their line. As an Altra ambassador, I will get a chance to share all of these new shoes with my readers!
I am very excited to see the Spring 2013 line-up! I made it out the door at 5:35 for yesterday morning’s run, and by the time you read this, I will be back for my second in a row.
It’s definitely going to take some getting used to running in the dark. Thank God for my awesome headlamp. I got more than one adrenaline rush yesterday—thanks to the idiot who beeped at me. Nothing like being startled when you are running in the dark!
I will admit that it felt so good to have a half hour to enjoy the sound of silence and drink my coffee prior to heading out the door. I could definitely get used to this!
Oh wow, Congrats!!!! That is awesome news.
Running the dark is hard to get used too. I do it in the summer when the humidity is bad here and I always spend the entire running peering over my shoulder. I’m such a wimp 🙂
Thanks Kris!! I’m so excited!!
Hi! Just surfing trying to find out about Altra ambassadorship and ran into your site… how exciting! I, too, am a parent-40something dad- and love my Altras. About to arise and head out for a morning run in my brand new Torins, actually! Can you advise me on how I might too become an ambassador? Got a couple of guys on their way to buy some Altras, and kinda want to make it official… just because it is fun sharing the Altra love! Thanks in advance for any info you c
Hi Larry, so glad you are loving your Altras too! Ambassador selection is complete for this year, but keep following them on their Facebook page, blog etc, so you can apply for next year! 🙂
