These two words pretty much sum up the two days of this past weekend (including Friday, since the hubs was off!)! I had a fun run on Friday—I decided to go easy for 3 miles and then push it for mile 4 and see what I could get for a mile pace.
I was pretty surprised when I fired off a 6:18 fourth mile! I think I could have sustained it for a bit longer, so this gives me hope that I can possibly get a new 5k PR this fall!

This is the color we are going to use in the office: Sherwin Williams Naval
I just did 4 on Saturday too, though it was a bit warm, since I ran in the afternoon. It was along my favorite route—Surf Drive to the bike path. I love this route because, not only is it beautiful, but many times you get a nice wind at your back for the way home.
One the home front, we did quite a bit of rehab in the office this weekend. This entailed cleaning off wallpaper paste to prep for painting. I also primed and painted trim, while my husband patched the ceiling and walls with joint compound.
Now, all we have left is to sand and prime before painting! We are still trying to figure out if we will keep the desk we have (repaint and new hardware) or look for a new one.
On Saturday night, we did our first dinner and a movie with the boys. My five-year old has been so excited to see Planes, and we finally made it to the theater. While it was VERY similar to Cars and had a bit of a slow start, I actually enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would.
If your kids liked Cars, they will probably enjoy Planes too. I liked the moral of the story and the fact that there wasn’t much violence (save one scene). My oldest was over the moon that he finally saw it and wouldn’t stop talking about it—his excitement made it worth every penny!
