Yesterday I had the pleasure of traveling up to Concord, MA to meet with the people behind the Melanoma Foundation of New England. We talked about so many different, exciting things, and I will be sharing them with you all over the next few weeks.
I also got to sit down with Deb Girard (Executive Director of MFNE) and Bill Rodgers (legendary American marathoner) to talk melanoma, running, health fitness, and everything in between. I am such a runnerd—I love getting to talk shop any chance I can get.
My head is spinning with all of the ideas we discussed, so I will be putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard!) as soon as I can organize of all of the thoughts.
I am always amazed by what a group of runners can do when it comes to championing a very worthy cause. I can’t wait to see how much is raised by Running for Cover’s Boston Marathon team!
Being gone for the majority of the day (and therefore exhausting babysitting for the day), I didn’t get to run yesterday either. No worries though—it was totally worth it! I probably would have blown away if I tried to run outside anyhow…
