Quinny Buzz 3 Review

GEAR

I finally got the stroller that I wish I had six years ago! It’s funny when you are pregnant with your first and you go in to register at a store, and they convince you that you need all sorts of things that you really don’t. Winking smile

Buying a Stroller for the Third Child

This being the third time around, I can safely say that the three most important pieces of baby equipment for me were (in no particular order): baby carrier (I swear by the Ergo—it’s worth its weight in gold!), a bouncer, and my stroller.

quinny buzz 3When I was pregnant with my first I got a travel system that I wound up being only partially satisfied with. It was hard to carry and the stroller seemed bulky and not as maneuverable as I would have liked.

With my second, I got a sit and stand (since they are two years apart). While I like my Joovy Ergo Caboose, I no longer need a double. So, I decided to sell my older strollers and invest in one I really wanted.

Why I Chose the Quinny Buzz 3

After much research, I chose the Quinny Buzz 3 (I went with Rebel Red). A lot of people were wondering why I didn’t choose a BOB to run with (I later got the BOB Revolution PRO). I actually really hate running with a stroller, so it wasn’t much of an issue for me (update: because of the BOB, I’m actually enjoying my stroller running dates now!). I have to say that I am SO HAPPY with my choice.

Although the Quinny Buzz 3 had a price tag of $579, they are coming out with a Buzz 4 (4 wheels), so I snagged a 3 for $399 from Diapers.com with free next day shipping! I actually think I would prefer 3 wheels instead of 4 anyway!

I can say with 100% certainty that I am in love with this stroller, and I wish I had gotten it six years ago! It will go with our Maxi Cosi Mico car seat, so I won’t even need the Snap N’ Go. The car seat snaps right into the frame (it comes with adapters for the Maxi Cosi).

Face Baby Forward or Backwards

I love that you can face the seat backwards (baby facing you) or forwards. The seat also reclines almost 180°, so your baby can nap comfortably. C, my 3 1/2 year old is in love with the new stroller and frequently falls asleep in it in the late afternoon (see pic!).

The Quinny Buzz 3 is super easy to maneuver and has a handle that is adjustable, so it’s comfortable for both my husband and I to push. I also love the self unfolding feature when you set up the stroller. It actually unfolds on its own! How cool?

Quinny Footmuff for Cold Weather

collin footmuff_optLastly, I love the footmuff accessory. I bought this already, since I knew that C would still be using the stroller until the new baby comes. On cold winter days, it is AWESOME for keeping him nice and snug and warm. It’s like a sleeping bag/cocoon.

I am sure that this stroller will get a lot of use, and I am so happy I got it!

I had a hard time stomaching stroller prices, but we walk everywhere now. I am so happy we splurged on it!

I say it every day and I feel soooo old – they have the BEST baby stuff out there right now. My kids are 10 and 7 and while that wasn’t that long ago, it’s like prehistoric times in terms of equipment. You picked a great stroller!

I’m in the very market for getting a stroller for my running Daddy-to-Be son-in-law Brian and Janie. Thank you for this detailed, perfect review. I’ve heard very good things about Quinny and now from you, a real expert Mommy Runner!
