Putting the Sexy Back in Running Gear!

GEAR

This past weekend I ran in a dress for the first time in my life (at the Falmouth Road Race), and I loved it! I am a big proponent of running skirts, so I was very anxious to see what it would feel like to run in the Skirt Sports Sexyback dress.

I definitely had a lot of people checking out my outfit. I had several women stop to compliment me on the dress and ask questions about it. I think it’s very cute and I love the form flattering pattern with the black silhouette and patterned sides.

One of the biggest benefits of running in a dress is that you never have to worry about your shirt riding up as you run! Genius! Winking smile The length on this skirt is perfect too—not too short and not too long.

You have the option of wearing compression shorts or spankies with the dress (they do not come with the dress). I wore the shorties when I raced on Sunday. They were very breathable and didn’t ride up. I am going to try a pair of the hipsters too to see which option I like better.

There are some other small details that make this a running specific dress. There is a small zip pocket in the back to hold a GU or keys, ID, etc. It is easy to reach and open.

I also like the fact that there is a small pocket in the shelf bra of the dress (right in between the girls). It’s always nice to have more options for stashing something on the run!

I give the Sexyback dress an enthusiastic two thumbs up. I will enjoy running in comfort and style! Smile

30 Something Mother Runner was provided with a Sexyback Dress and a pair of shorties for the purpose of this review. All opinions and writing are 100% my own.

How cute is that?! I love it!! I’m determined at some point to find a cute running skirt, but maybe the running dress is the way to go instead!!

Cute! I haven’t tried a running skirt. I’m a little afraid of how they would look with my thighs. This might be a better option for me. I love how the contrast of pattern and solid flatters your figure!

It is very cute, and I imagine it is very comfortable without any fuss at the waist. My waist to hip is quite long and the ‘waist’ on shorts is never in the right place on me – a dress completely solves this problem!
