As many of you know, I am passionate about raising awareness of GMOs and supporting products and companies that are part of the Non-GMO Project. For those of you wanting to know more about GMOs and what they are, you can read a post I wrote a while back.
One of the many things that concerns me about GMOs is the frustrating lack of research into their long-term effects and the effects of GMOs on humans. There are already studies that show the harmful effects of GMOs on animals that are fed GMO feed, so why should we (and our kids!) be eating it?
Another reason I am on a crusade to raise awareness about GMOs is that they are prevalent in so many processed foods that people eat every day, and many of us are completely unaware of it. Some of the most common GMO ingredients are corn, soy, and rice. Think about how many times you see these products or their derivatives on labels!
If you would like to be more educated on GMOs and how to choose non-GMO products, check out the Non-GMO Project. It’s a great website for consumers!
This month Bestowed is celebrating non-GMO month by sending out a box of completely non-GMO products including UNREAL candy, the Good Bean, Hemp Pro 70 protein powder, Seed Fruit, Way Better snacks, my absolute favorite Nature’s Path Love Crunch (dark chocolate macaroon), and many more.
Check out the box contents HERE and use the code HELLOTEN103 to get this box for only $10 (almost 50% off regular price!).
30 Something Mother Runner received a complimentary October box from Bestowed.
