My new running shoes (to add to the other 5 pairs I have!) are waiting longingly for me to return to running. I recently invested in a pair of Mizuno Wave Inspire 8’s at the suggestion of my local running store and chiropractor/ART therapist.
Apparently my arches collapse when I run, so I now need a more stabilizing running shoe with a bit more arch support. My chiro still wants me to switch it up and run in minimalist shoes at least once a week to keep all of my foot muscles strong; but for everyday runs, the Mizunos will be my new training partner.
I have to say, they hit a home run with the color scheme on this year’s model (at least in my opinion). I love the combination of the navy, raspberry, and white. It’s different, and I like different!
I have been breaking in the new sneaks on the elliptical and walking around in them outside of the house. I really like the fact that they are a lighter weight stability shoe. Most running shoes that are stabilizing are kind of clunky, and these are definitely not!
I also added in a pair of Sof Sole inserts, which are super comfy! They have air cushioning in the heels and a Coolmax top layer that helps keep the feet dry. I really like them for casual wear, so I am anxious to see how they perform when I can hit the roads again!
In other news, 30 Something Mother Runner has been nominated for best running blog in the Fitness magazine 2012 Fitterati Awards! If you enjoy reading the blog, I would love your vote! Just click on the picture below.
Sof Sole provided 30 Something Mother Runner with a complimentary pair of insoles to try out. I did not receive any payment for mentioning the product and all writing and opinions reflected are my own.
