It’s Halloween! What a crazy busy weekend (all fun of course!)! I finally got a around to meal planning for the week this morning, and here’s what I came up with for Chez Morrison:
Monday: Since we’re trick or treating, we are going to order pizza and keep it simple! Gotta have something to balance out all the candy carbs! 🙂
Tuesday: One Pot Chicken Taco Pasta— I love my friend Annemarie’s blog Real Food Real Deals, because it has great “real food” meals that don’t break the bank! We are going to try this, because I can’t turn down a one pot meal. 🙂
Pasta is also always a hit in this house with the kids. In her recipe, you will find a link for homemade taco seasoning, and I would definitely recommend making your own. There are often yucky fillers in the packets you buy at the store (to extend shelf life). It’s super simple to just make your own and store it in a spice jar.
Wednesday: Healthy Baked Potato Soup with a side salad. I love this baked potato recipe, because you can sneak in cauliflower, and they won’t even know it’s there! Garnish with chives, sliced bacon pieces, shredded cheddar cheese and some Greek yogurt!
Thursday: Moroccan Chicken & Carrots with Couscous. This recipe is simple, and looks delicious! I can’t wait to try it! Couscous is always popular– I think because the boys just love saying it! 😉
Friday: Hawaiian Pizza. It’s pizza night again, since I’ll be out of town. I figured it was an easy meal to make for everyone (and fun to have the kids help too!). All of the boys love Hawaiian pizza, and we haven’t made it in a while. We make ours with diced Canadian bacon, pineapple chunks, pizza sauce and mozzarella. I like to use brick oven flat breads for the base.
What’s on your menu tonight?Â
