Don’t miss this year’s running of the Lee Mannillo 5K— a family-friendly event that follows a course along the scenic Cape Cod Canal. The LM5K helps to raise funds for the Lee Ann Mannillo Foundation, named in honor of a young mother who passed shortly after the birth of her twin boys. The foundation helps to remember Lee Ann Mannillo and her dedication to community enrichment and service. Funds raised by the foundation support other grieving families when they need it most through the support of charitable events and grants. It’s a wonderful way to get outdoors as a family and help give back to our community at the same time!

To date, the foundation has distributed over $40,000 to families in need in the form of grants and partnerships with other organizations. You can read more about the Lee Ann Mannillo Foundation’s incredible work HERE.

The proceeds from this year’s race will benefit two local families that lost young fathers within the last few months. The race will take place on Sunday, May 19 at 9:30 am from the Pilot House restaurant (14 Gallo Road in Sandwich, MA). Strollers or scooters and those with well-behaved and leashed dogs are welcome! If you can’t make it to the race in person, you can still support the foundation by registering as a virtual runner. To sign up for the in-person event or as a virtual runner visit the LM5K website.
After the race, head into the Pilot House for discounted lunch and some great music! So, what are you waiting for?! Go sign up HERE.
