Last Week’s Training Recap and a Giveaway from Dr. Scholl’s!

Uncategorized

So, I made my goal last week of running at least three times, with runs between 2.5-3 miles. I am happy to report that I reached my goal, with a weekly mileage of 10. I am going to shoot for 12 this week. In anticipation of this fall’s two half marathons, I am just going to work on increasing my distance and endurance. I don’t plan to do any speed work at this point, since I know the speed will pick up with the more miles I run anyway. It was really humid for my runs this past week and on Saturday (90%!)–good prep for the summer season. You know summer is approaching when the carpet always feels damp! 😉

The hot mess that I was after Saturday’s run!

I had the opportunity to try out the Dr. Scholl’s Active Series insoles in my new Hokas, and I LOVE them! To be truthful, I wasn’t expecting to feel that much of a difference, but I definitely did! The Active Series sports triple zone protection to cushion the ball of your foot, your heel, and your arch. They were super comfy, and I will definitely continue to use them.

The insoles come in two sizes for women 5.5-8 and 8.5 to 11 (they retail for around $24.99). They can help to reduce shock up to 40%! You can also find a coupon for $4 off on their webpage HERE. Dr. Scholl’s is also allowing me to giveaway a pair to one of my readers! See the Rafflecopter widget below to enter!

30 Something Mother Runner received two pairs of insoles from Dr. Scholl’s for review. All opinions and writing are 100% my own.
