For those of you that don’t know, I am absolutely in LOVE with Larabars. These tasty little bars contain between 2 and 9 ingredients—all of which you can read without a dictionary! Frequently used ingredients are cashews, dates, coconut and other spices. My favorite flavors are Coconut Cream Pie and Cherry Pie, but there are eighteen other flavors to choose from!
Because Larabars contain nuts, they have a lot of staying power and are a solid source of protein. The sweetener in Larabars comes from the dates—a great natural sweetener. I love the simplicity, yet tastiness of all of their recipes! The calorie count for the Larabar is about 200 calories, similar to most other energy/protein bars.
I confess that I eat at LEAST one Larabar every day. Because I eat an almost entirely vegan diet now, I eat a lot of nuts. Larabars are a very tasty way of meeting your daily nut quota! My kids also love to eat them for snacks.
