Stocking Stuffers for the Kids
Even though it’s not quite Thanksgiving yet, I’m getting a start on my holiday shopping for the boys. I started brain storming some ideas for the kids’ stocking stuffers, and I thought I would share some of my favorites with you! If you’re in need of some inspiration, read on!
Chalkola Markers
I am a BIG fan of creative toys for our boys. They love to draw on any and all surfaces (even the ones they aren’t supposed to!), so these Chalkola markers are great. You can use them on chalkboards, windows, labels, glass, and whiteboards.
Phillips Sonicare for Kids
My mother purchased this for the boys a few months ago, and it’s been a HUGE hit. It used to be so difficult to get the boys to brush in the morning and before bed, and now they actually (gasp!) ask to brush! The toothbrush comes with stickers, so that each child can personalize his/her brush. The best part about the toothbrush– it comes with a FREE app that allows you to wirelessly connect the toothbrush to your smart phone or iPad.
Your child adopts a “Sparkly” that he cares for and brushes its teeth twice daily. They receive helpful hints on brushing, a guided 2 minute brushing (covering all four quadrants). This is so helpful with showing kids the correct way to brush and how much time to spend brushing. They gradually work up from 1 minute to 2 minutes of brushing time.
After successful brushing, they get presents for their Sparkly like food treats, hats, etc. that they can use to feed and dress the character. It’s been so helpful with establishing a good brushing routine in our house, and the dentist has been pleased with their work!

We have all had those days when all you want to do is pop in a movie to make it through! 🙂 There are some great new releases you can pick up to stuff in your child’s stocking!

Piggy Paint
Since I have 3 boys, I won’t be buying any Piggy Paint this year, but for all you parents with girls, this is a great product! There are so many noxious chemicals in traditional nail polish, but Piggy Paint is non-toxic, odorless, and hypo-allergenic. There are a ton of different color choices!

Character Band-Aids
You’re probably laughing at this one, but it’s practical and the perfect size for a stocking stuffer! The kids always go crazy for the different types of characters, so head to the local drug store and pick some up! Bonus–when someone gets hurt with their new toys on Christmas day, you’ll be armed and ready! 🙂

Art Supplies
We do A LOT of art in this household, so art supplies are a natural choice for the boys’ stockings. While sketch pads might not fit well, you can always stash markers, color pencils, crayons, stickers, and more perfectly in a stocking. Michael’s always has great deals during the holidays, so you can pick up these items for next to nothing!
