The past month, I have had the strange feeling of being in limbo. We will be in Falmouth starting in January, although the construction won’t be complete on my mother’s in-law apartment until probably a month or so later.
I wanted my older son to start his new pre-school in January, as opposed to waiting until later in the spring, when it seems a little pointless to switch. I think it’s nice that he will have six months to get to know his classmates, who will most likely be headed to the same elementary school.
Although I am very excited to be back in Falmouth, I am most certainly not excited about all of the packing I have been doing. I feel like I have filled so many boxes, and it barely looks like I have done anything! How did we accumulate so much stuff in this condo??
Running related, I am taking a few days off. I felt a niggling in my right groin/hip—yes the side my last injury was on! I am babying it, so it heals faster and I am back out again. I am sure racing the 5k on Thanksgiving probably didn’t help my cause! At least I am smarter enough now to stop for a bit while I’m ahead.
Next up, I will run the Elf race (part of the Jingle Jog in Falmouth next Saturday) with my 4-year old. He is VERY excited to race again. If you live in Falmouth or on the Cape and are looking for a brand spanking new holiday 5k check it out HERE.
Whenever I feel in limbo, I need to run to literally find my footing again!
Moving is so hard on so many levels! Rest up that hip/groin!
