I have been having this conversation with myself lately about the average length of a daily run. Since increasing my mileage, my average daily run is about 6 miles or almost an hour.
I never imagined I would be running almost and hour a day—it sounds corny but I think that an hour of running a day is where I hit my happy place for the day. Running has always been an anti-depressant for me, and I have to say I feel like I upped the dosage when I upped my mileage!
This revelation comes just in time for the holidays—impeccable timing if I do say so myself! Every year I think the holiday season seems to go by faster. Thankfully, I did get a little bit of a head start on shopping this year thanks to our Mom’s Night Out (a group of my local mom friends) at Learn All About It.
For those of you that haven’t been to this independently owned toy store in Warwick- you NEED to go! We got to bring food and wine and then had free run of the store after hours. The best part (aside from the holiday discount you get for being on the mailing list) is that they WRAP EVERYTHING! Total win!
I have also been making a lot of gifts using Shutterfly. My grandmother loves to get pictures of the boys, but she is running out of room for all of her pictures (she has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren!). We decided to do a nice photo book for her this year, so she doesn’t have to worry about where to put the pictures up!
I am plotting out the rest of my gifts for the Christmas. I don’t do the whole Black Friday scene, but I am a big fan of Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. I plan on finishing most of the shopping off by then.
Have you started holiday shopping yet? Do you plan on heading out for Black Friday sales?
