I had my very first golf lesson a few weeks ago with Tom Rourke (Assistant PGA Professional) at Cummaquid Golf Club. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit nervous. 🙂 It was a dreary overcast day, but we headed over to the driving range to work through my set of clubs. We started from the irons and moved all the way up to my driver. I determined that my favorite club was the seven iron and my five-hybrid. It’s amazing what a difference a great set of clubs (made specifically for women) makes!
Having a good teacher is crucial to whatever you’re learning to do, and I am happy to have a good golf instructor in Tom! He had me start out with practice swings and going only half way on my back swing, so I could make sure my technique was good and I was focusing on form, NOT hitting the ball as hard as I could. I finally found my groove and managed to make contact with the ball most of the time! I enjoyed that Tom gave me a few things to work on, so I wasn’t at all overwhelmed.
I’m a total newbie, but I think I’m going to LOVE golf! Now to find the time to practice everything I’m learning. 🙂
Adidas Power Boost Boa Golf Shoes
I’m in LOVE with the Adidas Power Boost Boa, and I wish they made running shoes with the Boa system! It’s a dial that you can twist to easily tighten your laces uniformly. I love how they feel nice and snug on my feet! The shoes are made with microfiber leather upper and sport 6 low profile thintech® EXP cleats– these aren’t your parents’ golf spikes! 🙂 To tighten the shoe, simply press down on the dial and turn it clockwise. To loosen the dial, just pull up!

Adidas Rangewear Skort
I featured the Rangewear Skort last month (in the LightGrey/Heather/CorePink), and this month I’m pairing the Merch Sleeveless top with the Rangewear Skort in Trace Grey. It’s such a great neutral outfit for the links! If you love running skirts, you will love the Rangewear Skort. It’s comfy, breathable AND stylish.
Adidas Merch Print Sleeveless Polo
I really like the neckline on this sleeveless polo. It’s not too low cut, and it’s nice not to have the buttons for a change! Breathable and light, this polo utilizes the Adidas Climacool® technology for maximum ventilation on hot days! The addition of the light grey circle print on the top allows it to pair perfectly with the Trace Grey Rangewear Skort.
Stay tuned for a recap of my second golf lesson coming in the next few weeks! Pretty soon I’ll be ready for my first round!
