I have always loved the Peanuts, so I am beyond excited for the new movie to come out on November 9! To celebrate Halloween and the arrival of the new Peanuts movie, Shaw’s and other Albertsons/Safeway grocers (the exclusive grocer partner for the movie) are giving away a one-0f-a-kind Peanuts Trick or Treat bag with the purchase of select items.
When you visit your local Shaw’s and purchase 3 participating items from the brands listed below, you will receive your trick or treat bags (while supplies last!). The trick or treat bags were located in an end cap display in my store, near the registers. Participating items had special tags underneath them (next to the item price), so it was clear if they were included:
- Horizon Organics
- Coke (Honest and Pure Leaf)
- Nestle
- Johnsonville
- Ziploc
- Johnson & Johnson (character kids Bandaids!)
- All detergent
- Tyson
- Pop Secret
- Hunt’s Snack Pack
- Red Baron’s Pizza
- Rich Products(sugar cookies and cakes in the deli)
- Spice Islands spices (in the baking aisle)
- Bertolli and Ragu
- Kellogg’s
To get in the Halloween mood and celebrate the Peanuts, the boys and I decided to have a movie night and watch It’s the Great Pumpkin. We watch it every year (at least once), so it was fun to make it extra special with some themed snacks.
I popped some popcorn and filled these cute little boxes I found at Michael’s. The boys LOVE chocolate milk, so I dressed up their Horizon chocolate milk boxes with Charlie Brown-style t-shirts made from card stock and black washi tape. They were quite the hit with the boys!
We are planning two different trick or treat excursions on Saturday, and our Peanuts Trick or Treat bags will come in handy for the boys. They are just the right size and will make great reusable totes after Halloween! The boys had a dry run with their costumes last Sunday at PRU BOO, and they will get another dress rehearsal during their school Halloween parade.
We will head out for trick or treating in downtown Falmouth at local businesses on Saturday afternoon and then through the neighborhood with friends in the evening! I’m crossing my fingers for a mild night! 😉
