Motherhood is such a rewarding experience, but let’s face it– it can be exhausting! At the end of the day, there’s nothing I enjoy more than relaxing on the couch and savoring a nice glass of chardonnay! Who’s with me??
Every year I dream of a relaxing, gourmet breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day, but who am I kidding, I have three kids under the age of 8! Rather than a tablescape worthy of Martha Stewart, I am much more likely to wake up to 3 additional bodies in my bed (maybe even the dog!). I may or may not have a foot or elbow in my back and my breakfast would resemble the picture below, if it made it upstairs in one piece.
But, you know what? I LOVE it. I wouldn’t trade it for the alternative (okay, maybe it would be nice once in a while). So instead of that gourmet breakfast in bed, flowers or chocolate, my husband knows me all too well and will often gift me a bottle of wine! I can put my feet up at the end of a hard day of mothering and indulge myself by reading a book or watching a tv show (before I fall asleep!).
My all time favorite varietal is chardonnay, and if it’s buttery, all the better! When I sip a nice cool glass of chardonnay it makes me think of warmer weather, which is very welcome after winter here in New England and probably why it’s my favorite type of wine!
So, it’s no surprise it was love at first taste with the 2014 JaM Cellar’s Butter chardonnay that I recently had the chance to try. This California grown chardonnay is the perfect embodiment of it’s name, smooth and like butter! You can find it nationwide at Whole Foods, Bevmo, Total Wine & More, Kroger and HEB. If you’re local, you can find it at Kappy’s!
If you would like to try Butter chardonnay yourself, you can click HERE to find out where to purchase it at a store near you. Check out JaM cellars on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. They also have a great monthly newsletter called Scoop, where you can win goodies including tickets to BottleRock in Napa (for all my California readers!).
