30 Something Mother Runner was invited to the New England International Auto Show in Boston by Chevrolet and She Buys Cars. This is a sponsored post.
Yesterday I traveled up to Boston to check out the New England International Car Show. Since the hubs and I have been discussing whether or not we want to trade in the minivan for a crossover or other non-minivan vehicle, I was excited to check out all of the different options!

Until yesterday, I had never considered that car shows are really an AWESOME place to go car shopping. If you think about it for a second, it makes perfect sense. It’s like car shopping with ZERO pressure. No one is pressuring you to sign on the dotted line, you just get to walk around looking at cars, sitting in them, and even test driving them!
I was interested in looking at some of the crossover options, so I spend some time in the 2016 Chevy Traverse and the Tahoe. It was nice to be able to get in the car and explore all three rows of seating, the cargo area, etc. You can check out my thoughts in the video below:
While at the show, we got to check out what’s new at Chevrolet including some cool new safe driving features for teens! As the mother of three boys (whom I am sure will give me a coronary when they start to drive!), I LOVED hearing about some of the cool safe-driving features in the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu (will roll out in other models too).

Imagine being able to go online and check out when your teen went over your preset speed limit or how many times the front collision warning went on? You can actually set a speed limit and your teen will get audible and visual alerts when they exceed it. While they can still go above the limit, you will be notified.
Chevrolet is intending the Teen Driver system to be a tool you can use to work with your teen and to teach them safe driving. By monitoring their Teen Driver report card, you can see what areas you need to review and work on. How cool?

Another very cool thing– your car can now serve as a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, thanks to OnStar and AT&T. Connect up to 5 different devices (think road trip entertainment!) and enjoy high-speed WiFi!
You can also seamlessly connect your iPhone or Android phone with your Chevrolet vehicle using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technology. Use Siri or the car’s touch screen to play music, make calls, get directions, etc.
If this post is getting you excited about shopping for a new car, I would definitely recommend checking out the New England International Auto Show— it runs through Monday. You should also check out She Buys Cars for FANTASTIC car reviews and advice to guide you through the car buying experience.
