This weekend was all about home improvement and some family exercise. My poor hubs is still not back up to par from the GI bug that struck our family, but we managed to get some home projects done and spend some time outside.
Saturday was pretty much all home improvement projects with some errands mixed in. We finished up the downstairs half bathroom renovation (paint, towels, art, hardware). It’s nice to have one bathroom that is completely redone.

Hopefully that momentum will power me through the fall!
It’s amazing how a small paint job can give something a completely fresh look. I can’t wait to share the pics. Bye bye brass!
Training related: I decided to take an off day on Saturday, so instead of running, we decided to bike to the grocery store with my younger son in the bike trailer (attached to my bike) and my older son on his bike. The four of us set out on our venture.
We hit the store and stocked up on about 5 bags of groceries that went into the back of the trailer. I had a pretty good workout on the ride home. For those of you familiar with Cape Cod traffic in the summer, biking was a much more pleasant means of transportation!

Later on in the afternoon we went for a walk out to the Knob to catch the sunset and some beautiful pictures. I love the Knob and sunset there produces some really stunning photos. The boys had a great time, and they were good and tired when we got home for bedtime.
I am excited that our weather has more or less normalized, with nice cool evenings, lower humidity, and days that aren’t too hot. Perfect!
How was YOUR weekend?
The goal this weekend was to avoid driving the car, if possible, and we only used it once, which I think is pretty good.
We were Sandy Neck Beach bums this weekend…where is the knob…I need to be there!!!
Love Sandy Neck! The Knob is in Woods Hole, right on Quissett Harbor. You should definitely check it out! 🙂
