This past weekend was beautiful on the Cape—yes, I was there AGAIN! While it was a little on the chilly side (relative to the weather we have had lately), the weather could not have been more beautiful.
While we were back at the house enjoying a second cup of coffee, I thought it would be a great idea to take the kids to Beebe Woods for a nice little hike. There is a one mile loop that it is the perfect distance for the littles, as they get a TON of exercise, but it’s just far enough that my oldest can walk/run the whole way on his own.
On this particular visit, my four year old ran pretty much the entire one mile loop! While my husband is hoping for a scholarship for soccer, I see a budding cross country star!
I know that the boys will love Beebe Woods even more in the years to come, as there is a GIANT rock for climbing and some great trees to scale. It makes me swell with pride when I see them enjoying the outdoors so much. They never stop moving, but I guess that always keeps me on my toes!
By the end of the walk, my almost two year old had fallen asleep on my husband, and he didn’t even wake up when we transferred him to the car seat. Of course he woke up as soon as we reached my in-laws fifteen minutes later.
All in all, it was a gorgeous weekend. What did you do this past holiday weekend?
