This was a hosted event at Il Casale Belmont.
Brunch is one of my favorite meals to eat out, and I only wish I could do it more often! When the invitation arrived to head up to Il Casale Belmont to check out their new brunch, there was absolutely no hesitation! Not only was I excited about the food, but it was also a chance to see blogger friends that I don’t get to see that often in “real life!”
We started off our meal with a delicious plate of fresh fruit and prosciutto (macedonia di frutta with prosciutto di Parma), chocolate and hazelnut biscotti (to pair with our coffee!) and delicious fig pastries. Brunch wouldn’t be complete without a fun cocktail, so I opted for the Rosey Fizz– lemony vodka, cranberry, prosecco and orange peel. It was such a refreshing combination of flavors!

For breakfast, I chose the toast….alla Francese: brioche French toast, cinnamon-vanilla batter, butter gelato, crispy pancetta. I was so curious to check out the butter gelato, and it did not disappoint! The crispy pancetta wheels were the perfect salty complement to the sweet brioche French toast.

We also got to taste a sampling of the other delectable brunch items including the frittelle all’ Americana (pancakes), S.L.T. (Nova Scotia smoked salmon, lettuce and tomato bruschetta, mascarpone) and rosemary fries and the tortino al granchio (the delicious house made crab cakes with lemon pepper aioli).

I was sufficiently stuffed with delicious food by the time we left, and I had to walk it off with a little shopping on Leonard Street. I popped into the Westcott Mercantile, which I would highly suggest checking out if you’re in the area. They had so many cute things!
If you’re nearby, I highly suggest visiting Il Casale Belmont for their brunch! You can check out the entire brunch menu HERE. Brunch is served every Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 pm., and there is live music! You can call the restaurant at 617-209-4942 for reservations.
