In the spirit of Thanksgiving week and the shopping frenzy that follows, I decided to take a look at some of the running retailers offering Black Friday sales. Let’s face it–you can always use one more pair of your favorite running shoes or a new seasonal outfit! Why not get a head start and prepare a nice Christmas or Hanukkah list for your family members who are always wondering what else you could possibly need for your running career? When you are done preparing said list, you can forward this post to your family and friends. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!
For the women runners out there, Skirt Sports is having a Black Friday sale. Skirt Sports makes a ton of running skirts and running skirt/capri combinations, in addition to all different types of shirts. Discounts are 60% off regular price and the sale is already on.
Not necessarily a Black Friday sale, but if you like the Brooks Glycerin or have been wanting to try them, they are now on sale for $65 (regularly $130). Just use code BROOKSBUZZ. New running shoes- check!
If a Garmin is on your list, or perhaps a pair of Smart Wool socks for winter running, check out REI’s winter sale – 30% off winter gear through November 28.
If you are in the market for a treadmill, you can check out Sports Authority’s Black Friday deals. They also have some great deals on shoes and running clothing.
While the next item is not on sale, I think it would make a beautiful Christmas gift for you or any other female runners you know. It’s the Believe I Am running journal designed by professional runners Lauren Fleshman (a USA Track and Field champion in the 5000m) and Roisin McGettigan (world class steeplechaser and a fellow Providence, RI runner) aka “Lo and Ro.” The journal is full of inspiration and advice and allows you to see your training a month at a time. It’s also made in the USA!
This is just a handful of deals, and I am sure there will be a ton of others that you guys will discover in your shopping adventures. Feel free to share any running-related deals that you come across during your holiday shopping!
