I wish I could say that this past weekend was more exciting, but it mainly entailed cleaning our new space and organizing things. Since my mother’s in-law apartment is still under construction, the family and I are jockeying back and forth between the house and my in-law’s house!
Although this means we will be back and forth a bit for the next two months, I did unload and organize a bunch of our belongings over the weekend. It feels good to at least have our clothes in drawers and hung in closets, rather than living out of large suitcases!

Saturday I went for a nice six-miler to Woods Hole and back from the house. The back half was into driving freezing rain which made it a bit more challenging, but I averaged an 8:15 pace. It was such a great feeling to be running a route I have done for about twenty plus years!!
I had all intentions of running long on yesterday, but the aforementioned unpacking and organizing prevented that from happening.
When I get on a roll, I have learned that it’s best not to stop. I ride the momentum and get as much work done as possible. So even though I didn’t run, I feel a great sense of accomplishment with how much work we got done!
This week is going to be a busy one, since my husband will be out of town on business for several days. Thankfully my mother-in-law is going to help babysit the boys, so I will be able to get my runs in this week!
Sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Thinking about you — it will all get done. Between now and then,
