If you’ve just landed here from 30 Something Mother Runner, you’ve probably noticed the new look! This rebrand has been a long time coming. It wasn’t an easy decision to make but it was a necessary one for several reasons. First off, I originally started off as a running blogger and while I still enjoy running on occasion, it’s not a large focus in my life anymore. I will still talk about it on this blog and you will see a lot of healthy living content, but my dream was always to have a wider, lifestyle focus that would allow me to cover a lot of different topics.
I’ve been doing that over the last few years, but it can be hard to align that vision and writing theme with the name 30 Something Mother Runner when the content isn’t all about motherhood and running and I’m not in my thirties anymore! So I think this change is long overdue and after finishing the design of this new blog, it definitely feels like the place where I belong and I hope that you also find it to be a warm and inviting digital space.
The blogosphere has changed SO much since I started over 7 years ago. Back in 2011 blogging was definitely not as shiny and glamorous as it can appear to be today. It was more of a real-life chronicle of life and experiences. Working as a professional blogger, I can’t begin to explain how much blogging and social media have changed, sometimes for the better and other times not.
My goal with this blog (and I may have strayed a bit at times) is to portray what an authentic view of my life and motherhood in general. I’m most certainly not perfect and definitely not a perfect mom and you know what? I’m totally okay with that at this point in my life. It’s hard being a mom in today’s world–constantly bombarded with what you should/shouldn’t do for your children. It can be hard to find your way and feel confident in your decisions. I want moms to feel comfortable in my little corner of the blog world, so welcome!
