By now, I am sure you have noticed that 30 Something Mother Runner received a makeover this past weekend! Thanks to Rita at Blog Genie, I have a brand spanking new blog (except for the beautiful header image designed by my husband)! I am so happy to have a fresh, new look, and I hope you like it too! If anyone is looking for a blog makeover, I would highly recommend Blog Genie.

On another positive note, I am SO happy that we gained another hour of daylight this past weekend. More light at night means more opportunities for running at night when the hubs gets home from work.
Evening runs are a great way to get rid of stress that builds up during the day. It can also be a great way to squeeze in some extra “me” time. Sometimes when my husband arrives home, the first thing I feel like doing is bolting out the door!
Daylight Savings time for the kiddos is a different story. When I became a parent, I learned that kids are creatures of habit and do not take kindly to changes in their schedules and routines. This includes Daylight Savings time. Apparently, my sons did not get the memo that bed time is still 8:30. I think they finally fell asleep around 9:30!
I love your new theme – it’s red! I love that it’s not blue – seems every blog is blue or pink 🙂
Thanks Janice! I LOVE the red too! 😉
LOVE it!!!
Thanks Tina! 🙂
ohh i love it!! congrats
Thanks Amanda! 🙂
Looks great! 🙂
Thanks Kim! 🙂
like the new blog set up
i agree on the kid not caring about the time. In addition getting them up at 5:45 this morning so I could drop them off at school before work was not too much either.
Thanks! Wow, 5:45 is an early wake up call! And I thought 6:45 felt bad 😉
I leave the house at 6:30 in the morning with a 3yo and 6yo in tow on the way to dropoff at daycare and kindergarten.
Love the new look! And I’m with you on daylight savings – not crazy about the lack of sleep and messing with the kids’ schedules, but I love the extra hour of daylight!
Thanks Michelle! I am SO excited about the extra daylight–more time to run the boys ragged too! 😉
Lookin’ good, congrats!! Ironically, as parents this is the time change I’m more okay with, even though we lose an hour, kids are sleeping in rather than up at the crack of dawn. 🙂 But in general, the time change is never fun with kids.
Thanks Laura! I agree, it is good that they sleep in on this one! Hopefully they will be back in their routine in a few days! 😉
Looks great!! 🙂 Love the header made by your hubby!
Thanks Rachel! He is such a Photoshop wizard! 🙂
LOVE the new look!! And ps – LOVING daylight savings time already, screw the “lost” hour of sleep, I’d rather have the extra sunshine!
Thanks Jess! That’s exactly how I feel– the extra hour makes me a very happy person!!
The blog looks great – red is definitely a good choice. And I enjoy the extra daylight that spring ahead brings, but I’m struggling with the lost hour of sleep this year, blah!
Thanks Amy! I love red too–it’s the color of passion right? 😉
Lovely makeover, Jessica! I like the clean and neat look. Great work from you and Blog Genie.
Thanks Kevin! She does great work! I am really enjoying the neat look too-I hate clutter! 🙂
Love the new look! It’s perfect! I have looked at Blog Genie before – now I see that I really like their work! And your header is so pretty!!
Awww, thanks Sara! 🙂
Nice! I need to finish updating mine, but that keeps falling by the wayside…
I hear you on the kids. Mine are exhausted, but still having a hard time getting on the new schedule. Hopefully tomorrow…
