A Healthy Dessert ~ Graham Cracker and Frozen Yogurt Sandwiches

FOOD/DRINK

frozen yogurt graham cracker sandwiches

Two of my three boys have a major sweet tooth, and while I do let them eat sweets in moderation; it’s a constant battle to prevent overindulgence! I am always on the lookout for a healthy dessert option, and these graham cracker and frozen yogurt sandwiches are the perfect answer!

I first discovered these tasty little treats at our cooperative preschool, and I wish I had thought of this myself a lot earlier! They are literally the easiest dessert you can make. All you need are graham crackers and your favorite flavor of yogurt (we are partial to Stonyfield Vanilla (I’m a Stonyfield Ambassador)).

One of my favorite things about these healthy little desserts is that they are perfect for all different ages. My two-year old loves them just as much as his older brothers! If you have a toddler getting molars; they are a great, since they are nice and cool to chomp on. I made a batch this past Sunday, and they were gone by Monday afternoon!

How to Make Graham Cracker and Frozen Yogurt Sandwiches

Grab a package of graham crackers, and choose whether you want to break the larger crackers in half or leave them in one piece. If your kids are older, the larger option might be better. Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper and arrange the graham crackers on top. Place a few spoonfuls of yogurt.

Place another graham cracker on top and stick the whole sheet in the freezer for about a 45 minutes to an hour. Take them out and enjoy! How easy is that?? If you want to up your game, you can add some chocolate sprinkles, dried fruit, coconut flakes, or some other little sweet topping into the yogurt.

Other Healthy Dessert Options

Here are some other healthy dessert options I am loving:

  • Fresh Fruit Pops
  • Frozen Blueberry Yogurt Bites
  • Apple Cookies
  • Chocolate covered banana slices (just like Gone Bananas from Trader Joe’s!)
  • Two Ingredient Banana Peanut Butter Ice Cream
  • FroYo Berry Bites
