On Saturday we headed into Boston for Game 2 of the ALDS. I was so happy that the game was at 5:37 instead of 8:07! It was still warm when we got there, and I didn’t need my jacket for the whole game!
We were planning to eat at Boston Beer Works, but they were collecting tickets at the both entries to Yawkey Way and not allowing re-entry. I think this was partly for security and partly because they wanted you to get stuck spending money on Yawkey Way eats!
The game was fantastic—it totally reminded me of the post-season games we went to in 2004 and 2007. Let’s just say the Sox are looking very good! The batting lineup was stellar and Ortiz homered twice. The stadium was electric and fans were on their feet many times during the game—especially with Uehara closing the game.
We managed to get home around 11 pm and were kid-free for the night until 11 the next morning thanks to my in-laws!
I also ran Friday and Saturday. I am back up to 3 miles, and it’s been so nice running without a watch and just listening to my body. It feels SO GOOD to be running again and so far the little belly I’m sporting isn’t bothering me too much.
I did decided to buy a pair of maternity workout pants and racerback tank from Gap. I am eagerly anticipating their arrival! I have a nice Lululemon shirt that still fits as does my Altra Ambassador tank and that’s it for shirts with enough coverage. Hmmm….maybe more shopping is in order!
Oh, I bet it is such a beautiful time of year for a baseball game in Boston! Love Boston. And NICE on sleeping in until 9…funny how this is truly sleeping in these days. We need one of those kid-free night/mornings! Sounds like your running is in a good place…just listening to your body.
I love Boston too–the energy at Fenway is amazing! Thankfully we will be headed back for the next series! 😉
